Vocational areas include: • Mechanics • Brick • Media • Business • ICT The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside lecturers and college staff to provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, ensuring students can fully participate in their chosen vocational courses. You will help learners access practical activities, classroom learning, and work-related skills while promoting independence and positive engagement. Key Responsibilities • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs. • Support learners with ASD, SEMH, epilepsy, and other SEND requirements. • Assist students during practical workshops and vocational lessons. • Encourage confidence, independence, and participation. • Support students with behaviour strategies and emotional regulation where needed. • Assist with medical or personal care requirements where appropriate. • Work collaboratively with lecturers and the wider college team. • Support individual learning plans and student development goals.
