Learning Support Assistants (LSA) – Secondary & College
Location: Rochdale & Oldham Boroughs
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £95.00 - £100.00 per day, experiance dependant
Axcis Education are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support students across Secondary Schools and Colleges in the Rochdale and Oldham areas.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by working 1:1 with students aged 11–18 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
• Providing 1:1 support to students in Secondary and College settings
• Supporting students with SEMH needs to access education and remain engaged in learning
• Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and academic tasks
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
• Helping students develop confidence, independence, and positive routines
Requirements:
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH / additional needs (school, college, care, youth work, or similar)
• A Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• An Adult DBS (or willingness to apply)
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Passion for supporting young people aged 11–18
