Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Position: Learning Support Assistant Location: Hampton, Greater London Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:00?am – 3:30?pm) Salary: Paid to scale Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive school community in Hampton. Working closely with teachers and senior staff, you will help create a supportive learning environment that enables all pupils—particularly those with additional needs—to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with identified learning, social, or emotional needs. • Assist classroom teachers with lesson preparation, differentiation, and the implementation of individualized learning plans. • Monitor student progress, record observations, and communicate insights to teachers and parents. • Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging atmosphere; help manage behavior using positive strategies. • Support the preparation of resources, assist with technology integration, and help maintain a tidy learning space. • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and safeguarding duties as required. Essential Requirements • Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning). • Experience working with children with SEND or in a school setting. • Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills. • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality.
