Mottingham, South East London | September Start We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist further education college in Mottingham for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support learners aged 16+ with additional needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist educational setting, supporting students across a broad curriculum that combines functional skills in English and Maths with practical vocational subjects such as Animal Care, Floristry, Horticulture, Garden Design, and Agriculture. Key Responsibilities - Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student with SEND requirements, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs. - Assist learners in both classroom-based lessons and practical vocational activities. - Encourage participation, independence, and positive learning outcomes. - Support students during outdoor learning sessions and hands-on projects. - Work closely with teaching staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning experience. Candidate Requirements - GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English. - Good IT and organisational skills. - Ability to work proactively and independently. - Comfortable working in outdoor environments throughout the year. - Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with young people. - Previous experience supporting SEND learners or working within an educational setting would be beneficial but is not essential.
