Job Title: Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant
JOB LOCATION:
Skelmersdale
Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within the nursery provision of a mainstream primary school in Skelmersdale.
This is a full-time position, working 8.30am – 3.30pm, beginning after the Easter break and continuing until the end of the academic year. There is a strong possibility that the role could become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
You will be supporting young children within the nursery provision, helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where pupils can develop socially, emotionally, and academically. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and early years team to support learning through play-based activities and structured tasks. You may be expected to assist with leading the room on occasion.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting children aged 3–4 within the nursery classroom
• Assisting with the delivery of engaging early years activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
• Supporting children with their learning, play, and personal development
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Requirements
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (essential)
• Experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting
• A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
