Monday to Friday | 8:30am–4:00pm
Daily Rate: From £89 (PAYE)

About the Position
An inclusive and friendly primary school in Wembley is looking to appoint a skilled Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioural needs, and speech and language difficulties. This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inclusion and committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
You’ll be a key part of the support network around the child, working closely with school staff and external professionals to ensure consistent and meaningful progress.
Your Key Duties
Deliver tailored 1:1 support to meet the individual needs of the pupil
Use effective strategies to support emotional regulation and manage behaviour positively
Assist with learning activities across the school day, both in the classroom and during interventions
Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and visiting specialists
Promote independence, confidence, communication, and social skills
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
(Candidates with a Level 2 qualification and strong SEND experience will also be considered)
Previous experience in a UK primary school setting
Proven experience supporting pupils with ASD and behavioural challenges
Knowledge of speech and language development and associated needs
A calm, adaptable, and resilient approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
