Location: Birmingham Job Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: From £14.25 per hour Start Date: September 2026 Axcis Education is recruiting for a Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children aged 4–11 and helping pupils reach their full potential. The school places a strong emphasis on working in partnership with parents and carers, creating a collaborative approach to learning that promotes pupil progress, achievement, and wellbeing. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range, providing targeted interventions and adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities • Support children aged 4–11 years across the primary school phase. • Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences. • Provide support for pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND. • Deliver targeted interventions to improve attainment and pupil progress. • Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs. • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support educational success. • Encourage confidence, independence, and active participation in learning. Requirements • Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). • Strong understanding of classroom support and intervention delivery. • A patient, caring, and nurturing approach. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm, term time only.
