Job Title: One-To-One Autism Experience Teaching assistant
We are looking for an experienced and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ASD in the ARP of a welcoming mainstream primary school in NW9.
The pupil requires a firm but fair approach, with a Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent boundaries, emotional regulation support, and focused help with learning tasks. The role involves working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure progress and engagement throughout the school day.
Role details:
Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:30–3:30)
Long-term position with potential for extension
Working within the ARP (specialist provision within the mainstream school)
Supporting a Year 2 pupil with ASD and challenging behaviour
Ideal candidate:
Experienced in supporting children with ASD or similar needs
Calm, patient, and resilient
Able to implement behaviour management strategies effectively
Confident working independently and as part of a team
