Axcis Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND provision in the North Bristol area, seeking a dedicated Positive Behaviour Mentor to support children and young people with additional needs who benefit from structured, therapeutic and relationship-based approaches to learning. The Role As a Positive Behaviour Mentor, you'll work closely with pupils who may experience challenges with emotional regulation, communication and behaviour. Your role will be to provide consistent support, help students develop positive coping strategies and enable them to engage successfully with learning. You'll become a trusted adult, helping to create a safe, predictable environment where pupils can thrive both academically and emotionally. Responsibilities include: Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils. Supporting students to regulate their emotions using restorative and therapeutic approaches. Helping pupils remain engaged in learning and classroom activities. Implementing behaviour support strategies tailored to individual needs. Working alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to provide consistent support. Promoting confidence, resilience, independence and social skills. Recording observations and contributing to pupil progress where required. Who We're Looking For This role would suit someone who is: Patient, resilient and emotionally intelligent. Calm under pressure and able to de-escalate challenging situations. Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs. A confident communicator who can build strong relationships. Reliable, proactive and eager to make a positive impact. Experience is welcomed but not essential.
