Start Date: ASAP Location: Redditch Position Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm) Pay: Competitive – from £89 per day Long-term position Are you an empathetic and motivated individual looking to build a rewarding career in education? We are working with a friendly and forward-thinking school in Redditch who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This full-time role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The school caters for children with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. Staff are passionate about creating a safe, structured and engaging environment where every child feels valued. What You’ll Be Doing: • Supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum • Providing focused 1:1 support tailored to individual learning styles • Assisting with personalised learning plans and adapting resources • Helping pupils develop social skills and build positive relationships • Encouraging engagement, resilience and independence in the classroom • Working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to monitor progress What We’re Looking For: • Experience working with children or young people with SEN • A calm, patient and nurturing approach • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils • Confidence in managing behaviour in a supportive manner • A team player who is reliable and adaptable • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) In return, you will be joining a supportive school community that values its staff and provides ongoing guidance and development opportunities.
