Job Title: Primary SEND Teacher - Reading
Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, September 2025 Start
Are you a primary teacher who believes that every child deserves to be understood, supported and celebrated?
We’re working with a fantastic all-through special school in Reading that supports children and young people with a wide range of needs—including complex learning difficulties, communication challenges and behaviours that can be challenging. The school is looking for a dedicated Primary SEND Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025.
This role is about more than teaching—it’s about building trust, offering consistency and finding creative ways to help every child connect with learning. The school values warmth, adaptability and teamwork just as much as subject knowledge.
What you’ll need:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• Experience teaching primary-aged pupils with SEND
• Confidence in adapting lessons to suit a range of learning styles and needs
• A collaborative mindset – you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team
• A good understanding of communication and behaviour support strategies
We’d love to hear from teachers who are:
• Empathetic and patient – able to provide calm, consistent support
• Creative and flexible – ready to tailor learning in the moment
• Observant – able to spot what helps a pupil thrive and determine if any changes to existing methods need to take place
• Team players – who work well with others and value shared insight
This is a long-term, full-time role with the potential to become permanent.
If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, please send your CV and a short statement about why this role interests you. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a compliance interview.
