Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (SEND)
A welcoming mainstream primary school in Reading is looking to appoint a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a one-to-one basis from September 2026. This full-time role offers a daily rate of £92.63 and is ideal for someone passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive within a mainstream setting.
The role will involve supporting the pupil throughout the school day, helping them remain engaged with learning activities, encouraging independence and providing emotional reassurance where needed. The successful candidate will also be required to provide personal care support, so a compassionate and respectful approach is essential.
The school is seeking someone who is patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff. Previous experience working with children with SEND, either in schools or care settings, would be beneficial.
