Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role involves working alongside teachers to create a supportive and productive classroom environment that fosters learning and development for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating class activities.
- Support individual students and small groups with their learning, under the direction of the teacher.
- Prepare classroom resources and set up learning environments as needed.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Help manage classroom behavior and encourage student engagement.
- Maintain a safe and tidy classroom environment.
- Participate in school events and staff meetings as required.
- Liaise with parents and guardians under the teacher’s direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational objectives of the school.
Qualifications and Skills:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Experience working with primary school children.
- Understanding of the national curriculum and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for education.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Commitment to personal development and a willingness to undertake further training.
