Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Are you a Psychology, Sociology or Criminology graduate looking for meaningful, hands-on work as a Teaching Assistant? This full-time role offers the chance to support secondary-aged students with SEMH, autism and learning disabilities within a specialist provision, Orchard Lodge, based at a well-established secondary school in Larkhall, Bath.
This school is widely recognised locally for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care and focus on nurturing the whole child. Its most recent Ofsted inspection highlighted a calm learning environment, positive relationships between staff and students, and a clear commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs. Orchard Lodge reflects this approach, offering a structured, therapeutic setting where young people are supported to regulate emotions, build confidence and re-engage with learning.
The role
• Teaching Assistant supporting students aged 11–16
• Focus on SEMH, autism and learning disabilities
• Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
• £13.70 per hour
• Starts ASAP, with the opportunity to become permanent after a 16-week settling-in period

If you are curious about behaviour, interested in trauma-informed practice, or considering a future career in education, psychology, social work or youth justice, this Teaching Assistant role offers excellent real-world experience in a supportive team.
