The school is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for its students, with a special focus on pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school features a dedicated resource base with small class sizes and ample support to ensure each child receives the attention they need. Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the school's resource base, working with pupils who have SEMH needs. This role will commence in September and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive and well-resourced setting. Key Responsibilities: -Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH in a small class setting. -Assist in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans. -Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment that encourages student engagement and progress. -Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to deliver cohesive and effective support strategies. -Monitor and document pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). -Support pupils in developing social skills and managing their emotions effectively. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential. Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3) are highly desirable. Strong understanding of strategies to support pupils with SEMH. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of each pupil. Working Hours: -Full-time hours, commencing in September.
