Job Title: Safeguarding Lead
Location: Exeter, Salary: £28,518 – £31,699 Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (38.5 weeks) Hours: 33.75 per week (Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.45pm) Start Date: October 2025/ November 2025 Axcis Education are seeking a Pastoral and Operational Safeguarding Lead to join a thriving primary school in Exeter. This is a vital role where you will support pupils, staff, and families by ensuring the safety and well-being of children, while fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. About the Role As the Pastoral and Operational Safeguarding Lead, you will: Take responsibility for the day-to-day operational safeguarding within the school. Act as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, ensuring swift and effective action. Liaise with pupils, parents, staff, and external agencies to provide high-quality support. Deliver safeguarding training and guidance for staff. Make referrals and coordinate with professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children and families. Key Skills & Attributes We are looking for someone who has: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with staff, pupils, parents, and external professionals. Strong organisational skills to manage safeguarding processes and documentation. A collaborative approach, working as part of a team and alongside external agencies.
