Job Title: Science Teacher
JOB LOCATION:
Skelmersdale
Axcis Education is currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Skelmersdale. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a positive learning environment and supporting students of varying abilities. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)
• Plan and prepare lessons that cater to a range of learning needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback where appropriate
• Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with department staff and wider school team
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Strong classroom management skills
• A passion for education and supporting student development
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
