Job Title: SEMH TA
Part-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant (2 Days per Week)
Location: Near Ealing Broadway Station
Start Date: After half term – 23rd February
Duration: Initially 6 weeks (likely extension to Summer term and beyond)
Axcis are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work two days per week (ideally Tuesdays and Wednesdays) supporting a pupil in Year 1 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The school is conveniently located near Ealing Broadway Station and offers a supportive, welcoming working environment. It is a fantastic place to work, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and inclusive practice.
This is a rewarding role offering the opportunity to make a real difference. The initial placement is for 6 weeks, with a strong likelihood of extension through the Summer term. In the medium term, the school plans to apply for an EHCP, meaning this role may extend further for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will:
-Be reliable, committed, and consistent
-Have experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
-Demonstrate a strong understanding of Therapeutic Thinking approaches to behaviour management
-Be Team Teach trained, or willing and able to undertake the training
-Have previous experience working in UK primary schools
-Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
This role would suit someone patient, nurturing, and confident in supporting young children with additional needs within a supportive and well-resourced primary school.
