Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm Salary: £90 - £95 per day We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wandsworth, London. As a specialist in supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating a nurturing learning environment that caters to the individual challenges faced by each pupil. Responsibilities: - Work closely with the lead teacher to implement tailored educational plans for students with SEMH needs. - Assist in the development and delivery of individualized behaviour management strategies. - Provide one-to-one support and group interventions to encourage positive social interactions and academic progress. - Monitor and record student progress, working collaboratively with the SENCO and other professionals involved in the child's education and welfare. - Establish supportive and trusting relationships with students, acting as a positive role model at all times. - Ensure the learning environment remains safe and conducive to learning, paying particular attention to the emotional well-being of each student. Requirements: - Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable. - A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to student development. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage constructively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies. - Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field, including a valid DBS check.
