Axcis Education is working with a highly regarded SEN Primary School in Brent, located near Kensal Rise and Brondesbury Park, to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term role, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The school has an Outstanding Ofsted rating, modern facilities, and a warm, inclusive team dedicated to supporting students with diverse and complex needs.
About the Role
-Provide 1:1 and small group support for a primary-aged pupil with Autism and Complex Needs, in line with their EHCP.
-Assist with tailored learning interventions in collaboration with the teaching team.
-Use Makaton, PECS, or similar communication tools to support understanding.
-Deliver personal care respectfully and professionally, when required.
-Support pupils’ social, emotional, and life skill development.
-Contribute to monitoring progress and supporting the wider classroom.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-Have experience supporting children with Autism and/or complex SEN.
-Be confident using alternative communication methods (Makaton, PECS, etc.).
Be comfortable providing personal care, where needed.
-Work well within a team and have excellent communication skills.
-Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
