Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
SEN Teaching Assistant Blandford Forum, Dorset £100 per day Full-time | Start ASAP Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful difference every day? We are excited to be recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and vibrant primary school in the heart of Blandford Forum. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a pupil with SEN, helping them grow in confidence, independence and enjoyment of learning, while being part of a supportive and inclusive school community. Your role Working alongside the class teacher and SENCo, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to a pupil’s individual needs. You will also contribute positively to the wider classroom, helping to create a calm, nurturing and engaging learning environment. Key responsibilities include: • Providing focused 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN • Supporting learning across the curriculum, including reading, writing and maths • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour • Helping prepare resources and support classroom organisation • Monitoring and recording progress to support assessment • Working collaboratively to implement and review IEPs • Taking part in staff meetings, training and CPD What’s on offer • A supportive and approachable leadership team • A friendly, collaborative staff environment • Access to ongoing training and CPD opportunities • A fulfilling role where your impact will be truly valued About you You will be: • Experienced in supporting children with SEN or working as a Teaching Assistant • Patient, caring and adaptable • Confident communicating with pupils, staff and parents • Able to work independently and as part of a team • Committed to safeguarding and child welfare A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential.
