What You’ll Do: As a full-time SEND Nursery Support Staff member, you’ll play an invaluable role. You will: - Provide one-to-one and small group support to young children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. - Work collaboratively with nursery teachers to implement educational plans and activities tailored to individual needs. - Create a nurturing and safe learning environment for all children, offering them the support they need to develop and thrive. - Use your keen observational skills to monitor children’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. - Attend to children's personal needs, including mealtime assistance, hygiene, and enabling mobility. - Assist in developing social skills and independence within a classroom or nursery setting. - Participate in professional development opportunities that help you grow as an educator and advocate for SEND children. The ideal candidate is someone who: - Has experience working with children with SEND. - Demonstrates patience, adaptability, and resilience in challenging situations. - Shows excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and children. - Has a positive, empathetic, and nurturing approach, valuing each child’s potential. - Is proactive, creative, and enthusiastic about creating engaging learning opportunities.
