Job Title: SEND Teacher

Are you a motivated and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher seeking a rewarding role in a supportive environment? We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEND Teacher to join our primary school in Bournemouth, Dorset. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of each pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), encompassing a range of conditions including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that enables all pupils to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies and maintain a calm and structured classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to maintain pupil engagement and accommodate various learning styles.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching assistant assigned to your class to ensure the needs of all students are met.
- Assess pupils' work and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, to support the needs of the pupils.
- Participate in ongoing professional development provided by the school to further enhance teaching practice and stay updated with current SEN strategies.
**Requirements:**
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with children with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD.
- Strong understanding of SEND best practices and legal frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Resilient and patient approach towards the challenges of SEND education.
