About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Richmond upon Thames. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced educator who is committed to ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive high-quality, tailored education in a nurturing environment.
You will play a vital role in delivering personalised learning, supporting students to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet a range of SEND needs
• Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies to maximise outcomes
• Create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
• Promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional development
About You
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with students with SEND (e.g. ASD, SEMH, MLD, or complex needs)
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, resilient, and committed to supporting every child’s success
