Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our inclusive school community in Godalming. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, personalised learning experiences for pupils with a range of additional needs, ensuring their academic, social and emotional development aligns with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum and pupils’ EHCPs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, teaching assistants, therapists and external agencies to coordinate support.
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and produce regular reports for parents and senior leaders.
• Implement behaviour management strategies that promote a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Contribute to whole-school SEND policy development and staff CPD initiatives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; PGCE/PGDE in SEND preferred.
• Minimum 2?years experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting.
• Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks (SEND Code of Practice, EHCPs).
• Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative skills.
