									SEND Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Behaviour Support (Male Student) – PRU – Dagenham

Axcis are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Dagenham seeking a resilient and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a male student in KS4 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school has a restorative, relationship-based ethos and strong pastoral systems that support both students and staff. With free parking and excellent access via the District Line, it’s easy to reach from across East London.
In this role, you will be:
•	Providing consistent 1:1 support for a male student with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
•	Implementing positive behaviour strategies, de-escalation and emotional regulation techniques.
•	Supporting in lessons, breaks and vocational sessions to build trust and confidence.
•	Liaising with teachers, the SENCO and family to track progress and maintain consistency.
What we’re looking for:
•	Previous experience in PRU, SEMH or behaviour-focused settings.
•	Strong, calm presence with confident behaviour management.
•	Empathy, resilience and a professional approach to challenges.
•	Flexibility to support across the curriculum and in practical learning.
