Salary: £95 per day
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Primary Teaching Assistant to support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in small group settings at a school in Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners by providing tailored educational support to help them reach their full potential.
In this role, you will work closely with primary-aged students with ASD, offering support in small groups to meet their unique needs. You will collaborate with teachers and SENCO to ensure students are engaged and progressing in their learning. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to primary-aged students with ASD in small group settings.
Assist teachers in adapting learning resources and strategies to meet students’ needs.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Build strong relationships with students to support their educational and social development.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD.
A patient and caring approach, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A passion for supporting the development of young learners in a school environment.
