Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - ASD
Sutton, South London, From: Tuesday 1st September. 8:30am – 4pm (Term Time Only) Full time Teaching Assistant. From £92.63 per day. Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are seeking a friendly, resilient, and dedicated individual to join a well-resourced school with an excellent support structure and a strong commitment to inclusive education. This rewarding role involves providing dedicated support to a small group of Year 3 pupils with ASD and ADHD, helping them to engage positively with learning and achieve their full potential. Duties include: • Providing dedicated support to a small group of pupils with ASD and ADHD. • Supporting students with concentration, engagement, collaboration, and behaviour management. • Implementing effective strategies to respond to and manage challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will have: • Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD and ADHD within a classroom setting. • A good understanding of behaviour management strategies and the ability to apply them effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Confidence, patience, and enthusiasm when working with children and young people with SEND. • Relevant Teaching Assistant or SEND qualifications (desirable).
