Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Worcester, WR6
Contract Type: Full time
Hours: 8.30 am -3.30pm
Pay: Starting from £89 per day, depending on experience
We are currently looking to recruit a teaching assistant to join an independent school in Worcester. The school prides itself on its strong emphasis on inclusion, understanding, and respect for all learners.
In this role, you will assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored educational programs that focus on both academic and social development. Your support will be essential in helping the student develop communication skills and navigate social interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering personalised educational programs.
• Working 1:1or in a small group with students from 8-18 years old
• Support the student in developing communication and social skills, using appropriate strategies and tools.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment that encourages engagement.
Qualifications:
• Experience working with SEND, specifically ASD
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in diverse situations.
