Axcis Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in West Drayton. This school is committed to supporting each child’s unique learning journey, with a particular focus on pupils with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
They are currently seeking a kind, proactive, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Mainstream school's Special Provision, with a particular on reception age pupils. The role will involve a lot of sensory play and bucket play.
About the Role
-In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and two other TAs to provide consistent, structured support to pupils with Autism, ADHD, and other complex learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
-Deliver 1:1 and small group support
-Provide academic and emotional support aligned with EHCP targets
-Help pupils stay focused, engaged, and regulated throughout the day
-Support communication development in a language-friendly classroom
-Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
-Assist with personal care tasks where required (e.g., toileting)
-Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
What We’re Looking For:
-Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, or similar complex needs
-Confident supporting SEND pupils
-A strong understanding of the UK national curriculum
-Calm, empathetic, and patient approach to challenging behaviour
-Willingness to support with personal care where needed
-Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
-A true team player with a nurturing, proactive mindset
