SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:45am–3:30pm Contract: Agency, term time only Pay: From £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience) Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND teaching assistant to join a supportive and well-resourced primary school in Rochdale. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs. About the Role As a SEND teaching assistant, you will: • Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans • Support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation • Help create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment Essential Requirements • Proven experience working with SEND children, particularly within a primary setting • A clear understanding of supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills • A genuine passion and desire to make a positive difference • A proactive, nurturing, and resilient approach • Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (mandatory) Why Work with Axcis Education?
