Location: Prestigious Private School, West London (Notting Hill)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Start ASAP Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Rate: Competitive (depending on experience)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a compassionate and proactive 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil at a leading private school in West London. The pupil has ADHD and ASD and would benefit from consistent guidance and gentle support throughout the school day.
The role will focus on helping the pupil stay organised, manage transitions, and develop positive social interactions with peers. The successful candidate will support the child in understanding appropriate behaviour, friendships, and classroom expectations, using a calm and encouraging approach.

Key Responsibilities
-Provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with ADHD and ASD
-Help the pupil organise their belongings, timetable, and schoolwork
-Offer gentle guidance and reminders to support appropriate behaviour
-Support the development of positive friendships and social interactions
-Assist the pupil with focus, transitions, and classroom routines
-Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure a consistent support approach
-Encourage confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
Requirements
-Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with ADHD and/or ASD
-Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-Patient, calm, and able to provide consistent gentle guidance
-Experience supporting organisation, focus, and social development
-Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
-Experience in a primary school or SEN support role is highly desirable
