About the Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: • Support children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH. • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities. • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual pupils. • Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. • Help create a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment. • Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each child. What We're Looking For We're looking for candidates who: • Have experience supporting vulnerable children or adults. • Have a caring, patient, and positive approach. • Are flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different environments. • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Are passionate about supporting children with SEND. • Can commit to either full-time or part-time work. Desirable – But Not Essential • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Care Assistant, Youth Worker, Nursery Practitioner, or Healthcare Assistant. • Experience supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or SEMH needs. • Relevant qualifications in Education, Health & Social Care, or Childcare.
