Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and well-resourced special school in Loughton, Essex.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 3–19 with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Support students with ASD, PMLD, SLD, and ADHD
• Assist with personal care, including hoisting and mobility support
• Manage and support challenging behaviour in a calm and patient manner
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements
• Previous experience supporting SEND students (essential)
• Experience with ASD, PMLD, or complex needs (highly desirable)
• Confident supporting challenging behaviour
• Comfortable providing personal care
• Reliable, patient, and empathetic approach
