SEND Teacher – Primary School – Near Gallows Corner (Havering) £180–£240 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | Trial ASAP Axcis are working with a highly supportive and well-established primary school near Gallows Corner in Havering that is looking to appoint a skilled and compassionate SEND Teacher. This school has built a strong reputation locally for its inclusive ethos and structured SEND provision, with a leadership team that genuinely prioritises both staff support and pupil outcomes. The setting is well-resourced, with clear routines, experienced Teaching Assistants in each class, and a SENCO who is actively involved in day-to-day support. About the Role You will be teaching a small group of pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication needs and developmental delay. The focus is on creating a calm, structured environment where pupils can engage, regulate and make consistent progress. This is not a “sink or swim” role — you will be supported by a team who understand SEND and work collaboratively. You will: • Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons • Use structured teaching approaches and visual support strategies • Work closely with a team of experienced TAs • Support pupils with emotional regulation and engagement • Track progress against EHCP outcomes What We’re Looking For • QTS is essential • Experience working within SEND or inclusive classrooms • Strong understanding of autism and communication needs • Confident behaviour management with a calm, consistent approach • Someone who can bring structure, patience and creativity into the classroom Why This Role Stands Out • Exceptionally supportive SLT and SENCO • Strong TA support within the classroom • Clear structure and routines already in place • Opportunity to secure a long-term or permanent role This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who wants to work in a setting where SEND is done properly, not just talked about.
