Location: Blandford Forum
Working Pattern: Term time only, Monday to Friday
Hours: Between 7:00am and 4:30pm (varied shifts)
Pay: £89 – £95 per day (weekly pay)

Axcis Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional SEN school in Blandford Forum, supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of complex needs.
This unique role offers the opportunity to provide consistency and support to help each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The school offers a proven programme of specialist education and access to a wide range of clinical and therapeutic support.
The role:
• Provide personalised 1:1 support to help students remain focused, engaged, and motivated in their learning
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering creative, individualised learning activities
• Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development through consistent encouragement and guidance
• Promote progress in key areas such as communication, independence, social interaction, and self-care skills
• Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment that fosters growth and confidence
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver a trauma-informed and holistic approach to support
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students and colleagues to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere
The ideal candidate:
• Experience supporting children or young adults with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or other special educational needs
• A genuine passion for working with children and young people with additional needs
• Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills
• A flexible, proactive, and team-focused approach
