Axcis Education is working in partnership with a large, well-established SEND school in St Helens, supporting pupils aged 4–14 with a wide range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and complex medical and learning needs.
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the team from May/June 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, personalised support and play a key role in a child’s developmental journey.
Your Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day
• Support learning in the classroom and across the wider school environment
• Assist with tailored learning plans set by teachers and therapists
• Encourage communication, emotional regulation, and positive behaviours
• Use creative and engaging approaches to promote progress and independence
• Work collaboratively with a supportive, multidisciplinary team
