An independent specialist school in Crosby is seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to join their team from late May / early June 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils aged 8–16 in a calm, nurturing environment where emotional wellbeing, confidence-building, and re-engagement with learning are at the heart of everything they do.
About the Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support, responding to each pupil’s individual needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff
• Build strong, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe, understood, and valued
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches
• Encourage independence, engagement, and personal growth through consistent support
