Teaching Assistant Level 2 – Denton Primary Schools
Location: Denton, Greater Manchester
Start Date: October Half-term
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are currently seeking an experienced and caring TA to work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within friendly and supportive primary schools in the Denton area.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs.
• Assist in implementing individual learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Encourage and engage children in purposeful play and structured activities.
• Help create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or learning delays).
• Be able to communicate and interact effectively with children in a warm, engaging, and purposeful way.
• Be enthusiastic, resilient, energetic, and caring, with a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
• Be a team player who contributes positively to the school community.
• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
