Axcis are delighted to be working with a fantastic Primary School in Blackburn who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity to support KS1 and KS2 pupils with special educational needs, working both 1:1 and with small groups, to ensure every child has the chance to thrive and enjoy their learning journey. The Opportunity: • Join the school as a Primary Teaching Assistant • Support children with a variety of special educational needs • £90 – £105 per day (rate dependent on experience and skills) • Term-time only role • Based in Blackburn • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm • Full-time and part-time positions available Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support for individual pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as in small group settings. • Follow and implement care plans to meet the specific needs of pupils. • Support pupils inside and outside the classroom, helping them to engage fully with learning and activities. • Assist children with a range of needs, which may include supporting non-verbal pupils, those with limited speech, and managing challenging behaviour.
