Exciting Opportunity: Year 4 1:1 Teaching Assistant – L35 Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing school environment? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with autism in a welcoming primary school in L35. The Role Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with autism, ensuring they feel safe, engaged, and supported in their learning Help manage mild behavioural outbursts, which are infrequent, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities and provide emotional and social support What We’re Looking For Experience supporting children with autism or additional needs A calm, patient, and proactive approach to learning and behaviour support The ability to build trusting relationships and create a structured, positive environment A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply with our support) Why Join This School?
