A specialist SEND primary school in Poole is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate graduate Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team in September 2025. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience in a school environment while making a real difference to children’s lives. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils aged 4–11 who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and you’ll support them both 1:1 and in small groups. You’ll help children: Access their learning and engage with lessons Regulate their emotions and behaviours Develop social and communication skills This role requires patience, empathy, and a nurturing, trauma-informed approach. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff, all working together to create a safe and structured environment where every child can thrive. ??
