Hours: Full-time | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Salary: £89 – £110 per day

A respected specialist day and residential school in Wimbledon is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school supports children and young people aged 2–19 with Vision Impairment, Hearing Impairment, and Multi-Sensory Impairments.
This is an exciting full-time opportunity to start as soon as possible, working in a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an essential part in helping students reach their full potential through sensory-based and personalised learning approaches.
Your responsibilities will include:
Offering one-to-one and group support within the classroom
Assisting with the delivery of tailored education and communication plans
Working closely with teachers and therapy professionals to achieve academic and developmental goals
Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive social interaction
Promoting a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
About You
We’re seeking someone who is passionate about making a difference and eager to learn.
You will bring:
A compassionate and patient approach to supporting learners with additional needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to develop your understanding of sensory and specialist teaching techniques
A positive, proactive attitude and adaptability in the classroom
Experience within SEN settings is beneficial but not required
