Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Bolton Length of Role: Until July 2025 Pay Rate: £89 – £105 per day Contract Type: Temporary A mainstream primary school in Bolton is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil who displays challenging behaviour. This temporary role is available until July 2025 and offers a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school environment. We are looking for someone confident, resilient and patient, with the ability to build strong relationships and remain calm under pressure. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in behaviour support, SEN, or those looking to develop their skills within a primary setting. Key Responsibilities • Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with challenging behaviour • Implementing behaviour management strategies under guidance from teaching staff • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities • Encouraging positive engagement and supporting the pupil’s emotional and social development • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records • Promoting a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment Requirements • Experience working with children, ideally in a behaviour support or SEN capacity • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils • A calm, consistent and proactive approach to behaviour management • Ability to follow support plans and work collaboratively with staff • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one What We Offer • Competitive daily pay between £89 – £105 • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant • A rewarding opportunity to make a difference in a primary school environment • Experience that will enhance future career progression in education If you are passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and can commit to a long-term role until July 2025, we would welcome your application.
