Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Class-Based Role (Full or Part Time) Location: Local Primary/Secondary School Start Date: ASAP Pay: £90–£95 per day (depending on experience) We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school on a full or part-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is a class-based role, working closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and supporting their learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day. This opportunity is ideal for a confident and skilled Teaching Assistant who has a proven background working with children with SEN within a classroom setting. The successful candidate will be calm, patient and proactive, with a strong understanding of how to adapt learning and behaviour support strategies to meet individual needs. The role will include: • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, which may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties • Working alongside the class teacher to deliver tailored support and interventions • Promoting engagement, independence and positive behaviour in the classroom • Providing consistent emotional and academic support throughout the school day • Building strong, professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents We are looking for someone who: • Has previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a school environment • Is confident supporting children with additional needs within a class-based setting • Is a driver with access to a vehicle (essential) • Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills • Is reliable, adaptable and committed to making a positive impact • Can start work immediately or at short notice In return, you will be joining a school that values its support staff and recognises the important role SEN Teaching Assistants play in pupil progress.
