SEND Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Year 2) Location: Bournemouth Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30 (Term Time Only) Pay: £90-£95 per day Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 role in a mainstream primary school? A welcoming primary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND TA to provide full-time, 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil starting ASAP. About the Pupil The pupil has SEMH and ADHD needs and presents as energetic, enthusiastic, and highly engaging, but can find it challenging to form trusting relationships and regulate emotions. Consistency, patience, and a calm, positive approach are key to success in this role. The Role As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence Help the pupil access the curriculum within a mainstream classroom setting This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with SEMH and ADHD.
