About the Pupil The pupil has SEMH and ADHD needs and presents as energetic, enthusiastic, and highly engaging, but can find it challenging to form trusting relationships and regulate emotions. Consistency, patience, and a calm, positive approach are key to success in this role. The Role As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence Help the pupil access the curriculum within a mainstream classroom setting This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with SEMH and ADHD.
