Daily Rate: £90–£100 per day
Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for an immediate start in a rewarding 1:1 role?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated 1:1 TA to support a Year 5 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in helping a pupil feel supported, engaged, and confident in their learning.
The Role
Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs
Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in lessons
Implement strategies set by the class teacher and SENCo
Build a strong, trusting relationship to provide stability and encouragement
Adapt learning tasks to ensure accessibility and success
Support transitions, routines, and social interactions throughout the school day
What We’re Looking For
Experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant (primary or secondary)
Strong understanding of ASC and SEMH needs
Confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Calm, patient, and consistent approach
Ability to build positive relationships and act as a role model
Committed to providing reliable, long-term support
