Job Title: Teaching Assistant
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Heywood is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join its Key Stage 2 team from September.
This role would suit someone who is confident building positive relationships with children, particularly those who may experience social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
The successful candidate will be joining a school that values patience, resilience and teamwork. You'll work closely with teaching staff to support pupils both in the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping children overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence in themselves.
Previous experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs would be highly advantageous. We are looking for someone who can remain calm, consistent and positive, even on the most challenging days.
A TA2 qualification would be welcomed but is not essential. What matters most is your ability to connect with children, build trust and make a genuine difference to their school experience.
The school is conveniently located with excellent public transport links, making it easily accessible from Rochdale, Bury, Oldham and the surrounding areas.
If you're the kind of person who enjoys being part of a team that makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you!
