Pay: £14.25 – £15.50 per hour PAYE
Axcis Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an infant school in Salisbury. This Teaching Assistant role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with younger children and wants to help create a positive start to their education.
The school places a strong emphasis on helping children become confident learners while developing their communication skills relationships and independence. As a Teaching Assistant you will support children through their early years of education while working closely with teachers to make learning enjoyable engaging and accessible.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be someone who understands the importance of patience encouragement and consistency when working with young children.
What You'll Do:
- Support pupils during phonics reading writing maths and wider curriculum activities
- Work with individual children and small groups to reinforce classroom learning
- Help pupils develop confidence independence and positive learning behaviours
- Encourage children to communicate and interact positively with their peers
- Provide additional assistance to pupils who need extra support with their learning
- Help teachers prepare resources and activities
- Support children during classroom routines play activities and transitions
- Build warm and positive relationships with pupils
- Contribute to a safe nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
The Ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Enjoys working with young children and helping them learn
- Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or within a primary education setting
- Is patient caring and approachable
- Can encourage children while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Can respond flexibly to different learning styles and individual needs
- Is passionate about helping children develop academically socially and emotionally
