Teaching Assistant – Primary School Location: PR6 Role: Teaching Assistant School: Primary School Start Date: ASAP / September 2026 Axcis education are currently seeking an enthusiastic teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Leyland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA or someone with relevant experience who is looking to make a real difference in the lives of children. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide high-quality support to pupils. You will help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can feel supported and achieve their potential. The successful candidate will be calm under pressure and confident in supporting children who may display challenging or dysregulated behaviour. You must have the ability to de-escalate situations calmly and effectively, using a patient and nurturing approach. We Are Looking For Someone Who: • Has experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting • Has a calm, patient and nurturing nature • Can confidently de-escalate challenging situations • Is resilient and able to remain composed under pressure • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children • Is reliable, professional and enthusiastic • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Essential Requirement You must hold both a Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service.
